The Home renders 24-hour care services to people aged 65 and above. Its original capacity amounts to 260. In response to government's change of policy, the Home has joined the Home conversion scheme starting from 16 March 2006 to gradually phase out all aged home places and to convert into a home providing continuum of care. The eventual capacity will be a total of 204 beds with 184 beds providing care ranging from care-and-attention home to nursing home levels (including 4 for emergency admission) and an infirmary unit of 20 beds.
