The Hong Kong Chinese Women's Club was founded on 10 October 1938 in Hong Kong with a primary objective to liaise local women organizations to render relief work for refugees and soldiers during the war and post-war periods.

Following change of community needs and development, the Club had adjusted its service direction to the enhancement and promotion of the welfare and education of women and young children.

Since 1980s, as the government started putting emphasis on care of the elderly, the Club soon launched its services for the older adults in the community.
